JOIN THE FIGHT AGAINST PTSD
The way you tell your story can make all the difference.
The battles were over, but the soldiers still fought. Flashbacks, nightmares, and depression plagued them. Some slurred their speech. Others couldn’t concentrate. Haunted and fearful, the soldiers struggled with the ghosts of war.
This isn’t a recent description of war in Iraq, Afghanistan or even Vietnam. It was recorded on cuneiform tablets inscribed in Mesopotamia more than 3,000 years ago. Despite the distance of three millennia, the symptoms among today’s service men and women are the same.
Today we call it PTSD. We recognise it. It can be treated. Our mission is to help veterans reclaim their lives by supporting recovery through sport.
But as a charity, we can’t do it alone. Our resources are limited.
